Reader's Desk Plaque

HH

One side of this decorative plaque records a blessing recited multiple times during the Torah service. The other side of the plaque contains a list of charities (as it is customary to give a contribution when one is called to the Torah). Among the charities named are the Society for the Sick, the Jewish Loan Society, the Society for the School, other charities for the hospital, the local poor, and the poor in Eretz Yisrael, the land of Israel.
